Just today I bumped into the blog of Ahmadinejad. So I took a look at his blog and saw these comments on right side. Suddenly I remembered that my dad told me about this site. He also told me that you can actually send him a message, which sounded a bit strange to me because I never would have thought that you could actually talk to a president… I mean he must be quite busy ruling and doing the stuff a president does. Since then I wanted to send him an message just to see if he would reply. So this is exactly what I did. Just to give you a short summary of my attitude towards the whole Iran thing.
- Do you like Ahmadinejad?
I would say no because eventhough I really like his attitude towards the western countries including the nuclear issue, I don’t like his national very strict islamic policy. - Nuclear Energy for Iran – Yes or No?
Defenitley yes as long as it is for the nuclear energy. - Headscarf – Yes or No?
I don’t hate headscarfs. I mean if somebody wants to wear it, thats fine. But I don’t like it if somebody commands you to wear one. - Is there going to be a military attack against Iran?
Don’t think so, unless somebody is dumb enough to do so. - Would you welcome an attack against Iran?
NO, I’d rather leave the Mullahs in power.
That beeing said, here’s the message I sent Mr Ahmadinejad, I will post his Answer as soon as I get it:
Hello Mr Ahmadinejad
I would not say that I like the way you are ruling Iran right now but there are certain actions, for instance the foreign policy, which are an enrichment for Iran.
I read your latest post in which you were pointing out to the islamic governance. Because of one reason I am not convinced and have to doubt that the Islam – which is a religion – can be used and can be understood as a form of governement, yet I am not trying to say that a governance cannot include many islamic philisophies.
Well the main reason I am talking about is that the Islamic religion actually does not allow to force any human beeing to believe in Islam.
I know that people in Iran who do not believe in Islam are not, at least not willingly, oppressed and actually are represented in the congress. But if a State is an Islamic Republic then a very logical conclusion would be that the people are somehow forced or maybe are somehow manipulated so that they believe in Islam. Which is not intented by Islam.
I myself believe that the there are some western countries, e.g. Germany, which have a very similar way of governing than the islamic governance (I am trying to point out to the social system), eventhough they might not realize it themselves.
That beeing said I see some problems coming up which need to be taken care of. For example the very little touristic business in Iran. If Iran was able to attract the attention of tourists than the iranians would be able take advantage of it.
The main problem why many europeans do not dare or do wouldn’t like to visit Iran, eventhough Iran has a huge touristical potential, is because mainly they are scared of Iran (middle East in general) and secondly headscarfs are a very strange thing to them and the female europeans couldn’t bare putting on a headscarf anyhow, therefore they think why going to Iran with that much of a struggle where I can go to Turkey for half the price.
I know my comment will be checked and might not even be published but it would be very nice of you if you would answer me somehow.
Thank you for your very valuable time.
